In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
